DAZ3D Practice

DAZ 3D has got to be one of my favorite programs now. You can virtually create anything. I've been fiddle-ing with it and have found it extremely fun.

Here's a few test-designs with the default characters.

And here she is with a scene and different lighting.

For some reason, the irises didn't want to upload on the scene, so I had to photoshop them in. =]

The Results..

Today was FULL of bad... omens. I had a "B" on my Alg test, I cracked a test tube full of prosphirate dichlorate (no, I dont recall the actual scientific name) (an orange type of salt) (...a toxic chemical), my friend wasnt at school, and in art I drew a blank on what to add to my current project.

I arrived home and relaxed on facebook for a while til' my mum got home from work. She was checking her email from her phone,
"So have you heard anything from the drama teacher?"
Me: "nope. Not yet."
Mum: "well I have an email from her."
I jumped.
Me: "What does it say??!"
My mum nudged me away, "let me read it."
I waited, loitering near her as a subtle grin painted her face,
Me: "what? Did I make it?! "
Mum: "who did you try out for again?"
Me: "Liesl and Louisa."
my mum's grin grew to a smile.
"Here's the list:
-friedrich- JT,
-maria- cass."
She paused and looked me in the eye:
"Emily Alexander -"
I stared at my mums face.
"Liesl!"
I was literally giddily-dancing around the kitchen singing "16 going on 17".
What a day!

My morning?

What an interesting morning....
I didn't wake up to my phone's morning alarm.
So... I woke up late with two tests I needed to study for.

I was trying to wake up when my second alarm clock went off.... it's name is Trixie, and she's my cat.

Now, I like the fact that my cat tries to wake me up to get her her breakfast in the morning.
I love the fact that she loves me enough to try to get my attention...

Most of the time.

Winter's back...

So much for the nice weather. Snow just wont leave us alone. I hope Spring comes back... and then Summer. That would be nice.

Auditions?

*happydance*
I have to admit, it was a lot more fun than I anticipated. The part I was originally trying out for (Louisa) may not have been the best choice, but maybe Liesl is better...? I had to read the script parts for both at seperate times, but it felt as though I may have been the only human with emotions on that stage.

I got very "into-character", one could say.

Without even the slightest direction from the drama teacher, I had all of my movements (even down to the eye-rolls and steps I took) planned out with the most enthusiastic hope for a good first impression. I had stomped along the stage with a hauty disposition, crossed my arms and sighed with displeasure, and gave my lines and sang; louder than everyone else, with expression so intense I could have sworn I had become the character herself.

All in all, I could say I had a good day.

The hills are alive...!

The school musical auditions are tomorrow... Im so nervous! As you've prolly already guessed, its "the Sound of Music". Sadly, from my lack of height, I have only one option to try out for: Louisa. It was either that or Brigitta.

Figured' I'd try out for someone close to my age.

Anyhoo; Im scared and excited at the same time. What am I supposed to feel? Its been a loooong time since I've last been in a play. I love the thrill of being onstage, making people feel the character instead of just seeing he/she.

Oh yeah, this is my first audition to actually play a girl, too.
In the last two kids-plays that I had been in, I had to play a boy. I played a magical tiger prince, and Bageera from "Jungle Book". Haha.
At least I wont have to be a cat.
